Job summary

New Jersey Department of Education seeks a Senior Business Project Manager (ERP Implementation) to lead the statewide transition from NJCFS to Oracle Fusion NJHIVE. This hybrid role requires coordinating NJDOE leadership, OIT, OMB, vendors, and the NJHIVE team from Trenton.

The consultant will audit, document, and prepare internal processes, interfaces, and reporting to ensure a smooth cutover and post-go-live stabilization during the first fiscal year. They will not configure the software.

Qualifications

Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience managing complex ERP financial implementations.
Strong process mapping, stakeholder mgmt, and cross-functional PM frameworks.
Experience with public sector or government finance is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead project governance and coordinate NJDOE, OIT, OMB, vendors, and NJHIVE team.
Audit and map fiscal workflows to the NJHIVE COA and interfaces.
Document local systems, data conversion risks, and workflow dependencies.
Oversee reporting overhaul to align with the new COA and analytics needs.
Design and execute a Department-wide Change Management and Communications plan.
Coordinate testing, cutover, and hypercare support through first fiscal year.
