Senior Application Systems Developer (Remote w/ Monthly On-Site Visit)

ERP Systems | Infor XA | IBM iSeries (AS/400)

We’re seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Systems Developer to support and enhance enterprise applications that power critical business, engineering, and manufacturing functions. This primarily remote role offers the flexibility of working from anywhere in the U.S., with the expectation of one monthly visit to the corporate office for strategic meetings, collaboration, and hands-on sessions with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain robust business and manufacturing application systems.
• Lead ERP (Infor XA) development and support across modules such as COM, EPDM, Inventory, Production, Financials, and Purchasing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; monitor application health and system uptime.
• Collaborate remotely with IT and business teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend support.
• Develop integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and maintain systems on IBM iSeries (AS/400).
• Support adoption of best practices in SDLC, Agile methodologies, and user experience.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of enterprise application development, including RPG and IBM iSeries (AS/400).
• Strong experience in ERP environments, especially Infor XA (R9/R10).
• Experience in system integration, application architecture, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Agile certifications (CSD, CSM) are a plus.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving, analysis, and mentoring abilities.
• UI/UX design or web development experience is a plus.
