Job summary

Western Alliance Bank seeks an Enterprise Risk Management Associate Director to lead and maintain enterprise-wide risk programs, including RCSA, controls testing, and risk governance initiatives. You will oversee risk reporting, training, and continuous improvement across the organization.

The role requires 10+ years in risk management, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of banking operations and regulatory requirements. A small team mentoring focus is included.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related experience in Risk Management.
• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Previous leadership experience required.
• Advanced knowledge of banking operations and regulatory obligations.
• Experience across one or more lines of defense (3LoD).
• Knowledge of COSO and Basel frameworks.
• Proficiency with risk management tools and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support and oversee enterprise risk management programs across the organization.
• Develop reporting, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead or assist in risk program enhancements and governance.
• Monitor risk trends and ensure escalation when thresholds are exceeded.
• Manage a small team and drive performance improvement.
