Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking an Ergonomics Senior Specialist to lead a comprehensive ergonomics program across multiple sites in Pennsylvania.

The role requires subject-matter expertise to assess, develop, and implement strategies that reduce musculoskeletal risks and align with business goals. You will manage the Ergonomics Core Team, perform risk assessments using Humantech and other tools, train team members, and partner with Engineering, HR, and Occupational Health to drive injury prevention

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years leading workplace ergonomics programs.
• Proficiency with ergonomic risk assessment tools such as Humantech.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA recordkeeping requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the site Ergonomics Program, procedures, and systems.
• Lead the Ergonomics Core Team to reduce risk and prevent injuries.
• Conduct ergonomic risk assessments for manufacturing, lab, warehouse, and office tasks.
• Develop, track, and report on risk reduction projects and KPIs.
• Provide technical training to Ergonomic Core Team and managers.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to embed ergonomic principles.
• Investigate incidents to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Occupational Health, supervisors, and HR on injury cases.
• Manage OSHA logs and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
