Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support diode product production by setting up and operating manual and automated assembly and test equipment.

You will perform in-process inspections and quality checks to ensure safe, efficient production and compliance with standards. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years in assembly/testing, hands-on experience with precision test gear, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
• 2-3 years of experience in assembly and testing environments.
• Experience with equipment such as Microscope, Oscilloscope, SMU, Capacitance Meter, Multimeter, Power Supplies, DMM, etc.
• Knowledge / basic understanding of Microsoft Office products, ability to review data in Excel, DOS; Win10, Basic, C
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and automated assembly and test equipment on diode products.
• Perform in-process inspections and quality checks to meet production goals safely and efficiently.
• Set up computer controlled and manual test equipment for specific tests and analysis.
• Collect, record, and report test data with detailed results.
• Communicate test findings to engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Ensure equipment is calibrated and maintained; follow safety rules.
