Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Technician IV-Equipment to maintain and repair production equipment in our wafer fabrication facility. You will troubleshoot issues on the floor, repair and upgrade manufacturing equipment, and ensure safety and cleanroom procedures are followed.

The role requires solid mechanical and electrical aptitude, experience with manual production equipment, and the ability to adhere to strict safety standards. Travel may be 0–25% as needed.

Qualifications

• Technical or Military training in electronics or engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of equipment maintenance and repair experience.
• Ability to read electrical/electronic schematics and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM and routine maintenance on fab equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment using manuals and tools.
• Install, modify, upgrade and maintain manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain records on notices, upgrades and safety issues.
• Develop programs to increase equipment uptime and reliability.
• Provide technical support to operators and process engineers.
• Define preventative maintenance schedules.
• Ensure safety and cleanroom compliance.
