Microchip Technology Inc. seeks a Technician IV-Equipment to repair and maintain production equipment in a wafer fabrication facility. You will help ensure equipment availability to meet production needs in a safe and efficient manner.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, hands-on experience with manual production equipment, and strict adherence to safety standards.

Qualificações

• 5-7 years of equipment maintenance and repair experience.
• Ability to read electrical/electronic schematics, mechanical drawings, and flow charts.
• Experience soldering/desoldering components on PCBs.

Responsabilidades

• Perform preventive maintenance on fab equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment issues using manuals and schematics.
• Install, modify, upgrade and maintain manufacturing equipment.
• Keep current records on manufacturers’ notices, upgrades, and safety issues.
• Study equipment performance and reliability to improve uptime.
• Develop programs/solutions to increase equipment uptime and reduce process impact.
• Provide technical support to production operators and process engineers.
• Help define preventive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and cleanroom procedures.
