Position Summary:

Trinity Heads, Inc. is seeking a Senior Equipment Technician in our Longview, Texas Facility. This role supports daily maintenance functions at a senior level, including troubleshooting and repairing machines and equipment, automation controls, parts and material requisitioning, estimating jobs, and other duties assigned by management.

The role also involves mentoring and training less skilled technicians, providing advanced troubleshooting assistance, and communicating effectively with management to promote excellent customer service. You will be involved in testing new equipment and troubleshooting for optimal efficiency. Fluency in computers and technology is required to maintain documentation within our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Qualifications:

• Performs complex repairs on production equipment motors and mechanical components, including basic pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Troubleshoots electrical problems up to 480V, performs preventative maintenance and testing on electrical wiring and components.
• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs to electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electronic components, following codes, manuals, schematics, blueprints, and specifications using electrical and electronic test equipment.
• Builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies electronic components and switch panels.
• Tests new equipment, troubleshoots operation, and makes minor adjustments as needed.
• Maintains and completes all required records.
• Follows all safety rules and practices, and may participate in safety initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Desired Knowledge and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2-4 years of related experience; hydraulics or furnace specialty experience is a plus.
• Ability to read equipment drawings and electrical & hydraulics schematics.
• Willingness to work above ground (15 ft. or more) and climb ladders or stairs.
• Comfortable working in narrow or confined spaces for extended periods.
