Job summary

Microchip DPG is seeking a Senior Technician-Equipment to repair and maintain electro-mechanical production equipment in our Lawrence, MA facility. You will work from schematics, drawings, or written instructions and use multimeters, soldering irons, and standard mechanical tools.

The ideal candidate has 7–9 years of hands-on repair experience, formal electronics training, and experience calibrating equipment and vacuum systems. Strong English communication and computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• 7–9 years of hands-on repair and maintenance of production manufacturing equipment.
• Trade school or post-high school certificate in electronics.
• Experience calibrating equipment, vacuum systems, and electronics.

Responsibilities

• Repair electro-mechanical production equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing.
• Read and interpret schematics, mechanical drawings, or written instructions.
• Use multimeters, soldering irons, and common mechanical tools.
• Communicate in English and document findings.

Microchip DPG has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Senior Technician-Equipment. The right candidate will repair and maintain electro-mechanical equipment used in the production semiconductor equipment, or any other duties, as directed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to repair electro-mechanical equipment or assemblies.
• Ability to perform PM and general maintenance on production equipment.
• Ability to work from schematics, mechanical drawings, or written instructions.
• Experience in the use of multimeters, soldering irons and mechanical tools.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to use MS Office.
• Ability to interface with parts or service vendors.
