Job summary

United Rentals, Inc is seeking a Master-level Utility Service Technician IV to perform advanced maintenance and repairs on complex rental vehicles and attachments. This role involves shop, branch, and occasional field service, using diagnostic tools and schematics with minimal supervision.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in aerial lifts or heavy equipment, welding/fabrication experience, and valid certifications or licenses.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; trade school training is a plus.
• 5+ years with aerial lifts, bucket trucks, hydraulic systems, or heavy equipment.
• Welding and fabrication experience required.
• Experience in truck & utility maintenance / equipment rental.
• CVIP or ASE certifications preferred; valid driver’s license and medical card.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repairs on complex rental vehicles and attachments.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, drive train, and braking systems.
• Use diagnostic software and manuals to identify malfunctions and determine actions.
• Travel to customer sites for repairs as needed and document work performed.
• Supervise and train other technicians as assigned and manage field service paperwork.
