Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Mechanic – CES (Service Tech IV - CES) to maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on customer equipment with limited supervision.

You will travel to customer sites as needed and support the service team by mentoring junior technicians. We value safety, professional conduct, and exceptional customer service, with opportunities for career advancement within the Service Department and company-wide leadership

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment.
• Own tools applicable to position.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on equipment.
• Travel to customer sites for repair when required.
• Train lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork on work orders daily.
• Upsell and demonstrate equipment to customers.
• Assist with pickup/delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties as assigned.
