Job summary

Anduril Industries in McHenry, MS is seeking a Senior Equipment Safety Engineer to lead machine safety for the Solid Rocket Motor production facility. You will design, validate, and implement safety systems for automated equipment to meet stringent regulatory standards.

The role requires 3+ years in machine safety, a relevant engineering degree, and official functional safety certifications. U.S. Person with access to restricted information is required. Competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics/Controls, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar.
• 3+ years of machine safety experience in a production environment.
• Certifications: Functional Safety (TUV Rheinland) for Machinery Engineer, Functional Safety Engineer (TUV SUD), or Certified Machinery Safety Expert (CMSE) by TUV NORD.
• Deep knowledge in selection, integration, and validation of safety hardware.
• Familiar with CAD packages NX, SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead machine safety efforts for manufacturing & process equipment at Anduril’s Solid Rocket Motor production facility in McHenry, MS.
• Be the safety expert during design, commissioning, and validation of automated/semiautomated production equipment.
• Determine the relevant safety standards, conduct hazard analysis / risk assessments, and perform safety buyoff for equipment.
• Architect safety systems including E-Stops, scanners, light curtains, door interlocks, and other relevant hardware.
• Investigate and provide corrective actions for equipment safety failures or workplace injuries.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for production equipment.
