Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Senior Equipment Safety Engineer to lead machine safety across multiple production lines. You will design, implement, and validate safety systems, and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

You will partner with design and manufacturing teams, perform hazard analyses, select safety components, and support regulatory reviews. A bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience, plus U.S. export control access, are required.

• Bachelor's degree in Robotics/Controls, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar.
• 4+ years of machine safety experience in a production environment.
• Must have completed one of: Functional Safety (TUV Rheinland) for Machinery Engineer, Functional Safety Engineer (TUV SUD), or CMSE (TUV NORD).
• Deep knowledge in selection, integration, and validation of safety hardware.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril’s Manufacturing Automation team is seeking a Senior Equipment Safety Engineer to join our team. The Manufacturing Automation team is responsible for the design, integration, and deployment of automated manufacturing systems across Anduril factories. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to help define what production automation looks like for Anduril at a national scale.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead machine safety efforts for manufacturing equipment across multiple Anduril production lines

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Robotics/Controls, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar
• 4+ years of machine safety experience in a production environment
• Must have completed one of the following certifications: Functional Safety [TUV Rheinland] for Machinery Engineer, Functional Safety Engineer [TUV SUD], or Certified Machinery Safety Expert (CMSE) [TUV NORD]
• Deep knowledge in selection, integration, and validation of safety hardware
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 6+ years of machine safety experience in a production environment
• Experience with control panel layout, electrical component selection, and cable routing
• Familiar with CAD packages including NX, Solidworks, or AutoCAD
• Experience interfacing with regulatory agencies and safety committees

US Salary Range

$147,000 — $196,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
