Job summary

City of Branson is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to operate heavy equipment, lead by example, and help ensure safe, reliable water service throughout Branson, Missouri.

This onsite, full-time position requires a HS diploma or GED, 5 years of related experience, and certificates including Missouri Level III Water Distribution and a Class A CDL with Air Brake. You must pass background, medical, and drug screens and maintain a proper SCBA fit.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED equivalent.
• Five (5) years of experience in sewer collection, water distribution operations and maintenance, heavy equipment operation, water and sewer system construction, or closely related work.
• Missouri level III Water Distribution Certificate of Competency.
• Class A Commercial Driver's License with Air Brake endorsement and must be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position.
• No felony convictions at any time while employed by the City of Branson.
• Must maintain facial hair to allow proper seal for SCBA or respirator devices as required.
• Must be able to pass background, physical capability examination, PFT, and drug/alcohol screenings.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment and lead by example to ensure safe, reliable water service.
• Work onsite in Branson, MO with some after-hours requirements.
• Contribute to safe operation and maintenance of water and sewer systems.
