Job summary

Center for Digital Governmtent is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator III for the Department of Public Works, Highways Division in Annapolis, MD. This permanent, full-time role involves operating gradall, grader, backhoe and lowboy, performing advanced maintenance and labor tasks, and potentially leading a crew on job sites.

Candidates should have four+ years of heavy equipment experience, a CDL A/B license, and be prepared for variable hours including emergencies.

Qualifications

• Four (4) or more years experience in the operation of heavy-duty automotive and related equipment.
• Valid commercial Class A or B motor vehicle operator’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate gradall, grader, backhoe and lowboy and other heavy equipment for road maintenance.
• Drive and operate construction vehicles to work locations and perform skilled tasks as required.
• Serve as working leader coordinating workflow of a maintenance crew at job sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles, tools, and equipment and assist mechanics in repairs.
• Respond to work emergencies and call-outs outside normal hours.
