Job summary

Remedial Construction Services, L.P. seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator III in New Jersey to operate excavators, bulldozers, and motor graders for finishing grades and site work, ensuring safety and accuracy.

The senior operator will inspect, maintain equipment, read load charts, and support erection of structures on site. Five+ years of experience required; HAZWOPER training preferred; reliable transportation is essential.

Qualifications

Knowledge of OSHA regulations regarding excavation methods and practices.
Ability to read survey stakes for alignment and grading.
Ability to read and interpret load charts for heavy equipment and attachments.
Experience performing duties outdoors in all weather conditions.
Must pass skills test prior to operating equipment.

Responsibilities

Observe and comply with all safety policies and site-specific project rules.
Perform daily pre-inspection and ongoing maintenance checks while operating equipment.
Operate heavy equipment safely to minimize risk of injury or damage according to policies.
Excavate, move, and grade earth or materials according to site specs and equipment limits.
Communicate professionally with crew using signals and radios and interpret hand signals.
