Job summary

Hamilton County is seeking an Equipment Operator 3 to oversee crews maintaining storm sewers and hydrants. The role requires operating heavy equipment such as backhoes, dump trucks, dozers, and loaders to dig, haul materials, and install or repair water and sewer lines.

The position involves responding to inquiries and maintaining and reporting on work orders, with duties including field supervision and equipment servicing. The job is based in Cincinnati, OH with a standard 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Two years experience as Equipment Operator 2 or equivalent supervisory experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License - Class A.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Functionally supervises Equipment Operators 1 and 2 in maintenance of storm sewers and hydrants.
• Operates heavy equipment (backhoe, dump truck, dozer, loader, crane) to dig and haul materials.
• Receives inquiries and investigates service complaints.
• Operates power tools to install, repair, and maintain water and sewer lines, hydrants and related components.
• Performs equipment maintenance and submits work reports.
