Job summary

JLG Industries, an Oshkosh company, seeks a Mechanic I to perform basic repairs, calibration, and maintenance on our equipment. You will help diagnose issues and assist assemblers to expand troubleshooting knowledge.

You will install accessories, follow instructions, and uphold safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment. Candidates should have 1 year of hydraulics/electrical/gas/diesel experience and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• 1 year of basic experience with hydraulics, electrical, gas and diesel systems.
• Strong math skills and basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business and production demands.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance, in-person and on-site.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Complete activity-based repairs and service orders as directed.
• Install various equipment accessories (decals, mud flaps, cameras, lights).
• Follow verbal and written work instructions.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following procedures and rules.
• Input findings using an iPad or laptop in company programs.
• Learn to drive and operate a forklift.
• Support inventory accuracy through data entry.
• Be prepared to work overtime as required.
