Job summary

Sierra Circuits in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform routine and emergency maintenance across our facilities and equipment under the Maintenance & Facilities Manager.

The role requires 2-4 years of maintenance experience, strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, and the ability to work with PLC ladder logic. You may operate a forklift and must follow safety protocols to keep our production area safe and reliable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and industrial equipment.
• Be able to understand PLC ladder logic.
• Ability to lift and work in physically demanding conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic inspections on assigned equipment according to Preventive Maintenance Schedule (ISO Form 11-01-01-B).
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery to prevent breakdowns and unsafe conditions.
• Respond to and complete job requisitions according to request forms and submit to Maintenance.
• Use proper tools and techniques to perform tasks safely and professionally.
• Research, order, and prepare spare parts with cost-effective solutions.
• Report potential problems to the Maintenance Manager.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Interact professionally with managers, co-workers, and vendors.
• Be available for emergency maintenance.
• May operate a forklift if needed.
• Cleans shop and parts area at end of shift.
• Other duties as assigned.
