Blue Origin in the Greater Seattle Area is seeking a Sr. Manager of Equipment Maintenance to lead the site-wide maintenance function for high-availability aerospace equipment.

You will drive data-driven strategies and oversee staffing, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration with operations, reliability, and automation engineering. The role requires a strong background in CMMS, 5+ years of leadership, and experience applying AI to maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in equipment maintenance; 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong CMMS knowledge and practices.
• Experience applying AI to maintenance in industrial settings.
• Proven track record of improving equipment reliability.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor data-driven maintenance strategies to enhance performance, longevity, and reliability of automated equipment.
• Manage site maintenance staffing and ensure execution against defined metrics.
• Collaborate with reliability engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Ensure deployment of advanced maintenance tech (AI, IoT, analytics) to improve day-to-day activities.
• Manage the site maintenance budget and control costs.
• Conduct regular equipment assessments and implement improvements.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across maintenance activities.
• Foster innovation and continuous improvement in maintenance processes.
