Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager for the Equipment Engineering team. You will own multiple critical projects, define scopes, schedules, and budgets, and ensure cross-functional collaboration across engineering, supply chain, and operations.

You will establish routines for new initiatives, map resources, and drive risk mitigation while communicating status to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Strong experience in managing hardware or equipment engineering projects.
• Proven ability to operate independently and make project decisions.

Responsibilities

• Define work scope and create a comprehensive Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• Develop and drive execution of project plans, including milestones, budgets, and staffing.
• Evaluate new project requests and analyze technical, operational, and people challenges.
• Mitigate risks and anticipate issues impacting budgets and timelines.
• Communicate plans, issues, risks, and solutions to leaders and stakeholders.
• Ensure team members have context to execute tasks without relitigating past decisions.
