Nokia in Sunnyvale seeks an experienced Equipment Engineer to own and improve uptime for wafer fabrication tools, including ASML systems, plasma etchers and deposition equipment.

The role involves developing procedures, mentoring technicians, and supporting 24x7 operations with occasional off-shift work. Strong background in vacuum and RF systems, electrical troubleshooting and data analysis is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS Degree or equivalent; MS/BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or related field with hands-on equipment focus.
• Experience: minimum 15 years in manufacturing with hands-on equipment engineering.

Responsabilités

• Own and improve tool uptime and quality; partner with engineers and operations to maintain uptime.
• Identify significant contributors to tool stability and provide solutions for Photolithography/Metrology tool sets.
• Create written operational procedures and mentor operators and technicians.
• Responsible for tool installs, preventive maintenance and repair of wafer fabrication equipment including plasma etchers and deposition tools.
• Publish weekly progress reports and develop troubleshooting guides for root-cause analysis.
• Work to sustain and improve tool uptime in a 24x7 facility; may require off-shifts and weekends.
