Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years experience in construction material testing and lab/field sampling procedures and equipment.
• Three years experience developing analytical and technical documents such as reports, maps, or geographical representations of data.
• Three years experience interpreting standard test procedures, specifications, and plan documents or technical drawings.
• Two years experience in project management which includes planning, developing, implementing, managing and evaluating project or testing requirements to ensure objectives are met.
• One year experience in using an automated information system to enter, update, modify, delete, retrieve/inquire and report on data.
• One year experience in contract management and control which includes ensuring compliance with terms of contracts; negotiating changes to existing contracts.
• One year experience in developing and reviewing highway construction designs, plans, specifications, studies, or surveys.
• Six months experience in staff supervision which includes planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of others.
• Possession of a valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).

Responsibilities

• Supervises statewide activities of the Concrete Section and manages staff.
• Troubleshoots concrete field issues and coordinates with industry.
• Oversees concrete lab and field testing to ensure compliance with DelDOT specs.
• Obtains and maintains ACI certifications.
• Performs related duties as required.
