The incumbent samples and tests soil, aggregate, and bituminous concrete at jobsites throughout Delaware to ensure conformance with construction plans and specifications, using strong math skills daily. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, working in inclement weather, and availability for overtime.

Key qualifications:

• Knowledge of applied mathematical computations including algebra and geometry
• Knowledge of construction materials, laboratory testing, or field-testing procedures
• Knowledge of using automated information systems to enter, update, modify, and retrieve data
• Ability to interpret plans, specifications, blueprints, and technical engineering documents
• Valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked, or cancelled)
• One year of experience in construction material testing for Technician II level
