The mission of the Division of Transportation Solutions is to provide excellence in transportation by developing, constructing and maintaining the State's infrastructure in a manner that results in a safe, cost-effective, and efficient multi-modal transportation network that enhances mobility commerce, and livability. In addition, Transportation Solutions provides high quality support services to other divisions in the department.
This position is responsible for supervising statewide activities of the Concrete Section, managing staff, troubleshooting concrete field issues, coordinating with industry and other duties. Oversees all concrete lab & field testing of highway construction materials to ensure technicians are testing materials & using calibrated equipment in compliance with DelDOT specifications and plans. The position will obtain & maintain ACI certifications. May be required to lift up to 50 lbs & work in inclement weather. This position must be available to work overtime as needed.
