Job summary

Hudson Insurance Group in New York City seeks a Claims Specialist to manage complex third-party liability claims, including class actions and employment practices matters, from inception through resolution.

You will direct investigations, determine coverage positions, work with outside counsel, and collaborate with underwriting on renewals, with occasional travel for meetings, mediations, and trials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required; JD strongly preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant claims experience is a plus.
• Strong Excel, Word, and Outlook proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex third-party liability claims from inception to conclusion.
• Provide superior customer service and direct investigations.
• Manage litigation, coverage determinations, and outside counsel.
• Collaborate with underwriting on policy renewals.
• Travel as needed for client meetings, mediations, and trials.
