Job summary

Cytel is seeking an experienced epidemiology analytics professional in Augusta, ME to drive Real World Evidence studies. The role emphasizes analysis of RWD sources, data linkage, and reporting to stakeholders across Medical Affairs, Safety, and Clinical Development.

5+ years of RWE expertise and strong programming skills are required. You will develop study protocols, liaise with data vendors, and produce tables/figures for client discussions and reports.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in epidemiology, biostatistics, statistics, bioinformatics, or economics.
• 5+ years of RWE analytics experience in pharma, CRO, or academic institution.
• Proficiency in SQL is required; SAS or R proficiency required.
• Deep expertise analyzing RWE sources such as Optum Clinformatics Datamart, Truven data, UK Biobank.
• Familiarity with relational databases and claims data.
• Experience with regression and survival analysis methods.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Epidemiology team by preparing Real World data and advising on analytics strategies.
• Program and conduct statistical analyses under supervision, including data coding and dataset linkage.
• Support data standardization, visualization, and reporting of observational data.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Global Patient Safety, and Clinical Development teams.
• Prioritize work across multiple projects and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Present results and assist in study reports and deliverables.
• Develop study protocols and analysis plans leveraging large RWD sources (claims/EHR).
• May assume supervisory responsibilities in the future.
