Qualifications

• A master’s degree related to public health with at least six credit hours of epidemiology coursework and four+ years of epidemiology experience, OR a doctoral-level degree in epidemiology, OR another graduate degree with specific epidemiology training.
• Willingness to travel throughout Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin to meet with communities served.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a program team; strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide epidemiologic assistance to Tribal communities.
• Acquire data, produce reports, and coordinate public health initiatives with Tribal communities.
• Lead writing of public health surveillance reports.
• Oversee technical assistance requests and mentor junior epidemiologists.
• Support the project lifecycle: development, implementation, and analysis/evaluation.
• Present at conferences and seminars; lead publications.
