Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Council Inc. (GLITC) is seeking an Epidemiologist III to lead complex epidemiologic projects with a CBPR approach in Madison, WI or Grand Rapids, MI. The role entails data analysis, report writing, and collaboration with Tribal communities and partners.

The position requires 4+ years in epidemiology or a doctoral degree, willingness to travel, and experience with SAS, R, and Tableau. In-office role with travel across Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in public health with epidemiology coursework or doctoral degree in epidemiology.
• Experience: four or more years in epidemiology; willingness to travel.
• Experience with Tribal communities and CBPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide epidemiologic assistance to Bemidji IHS Area Tribal communities.
• Improve American Indian and Alaska Native data quality and access with partners.
• Acquire data, produce reports, and coordinate public health initiatives with Tribal communities.
• Lead public health surveillance report writing.
• Oversee technical assistance requests and provide independent support to Tribes.
• Support the full project lifecycle: development, implementation, analysis and evaluation.
• Mentor junior Epidemiologists.
