Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced IT/EPIC applications specialist for the Pharmacy Applications portfolio. The role involves working with Epic and related systems to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and deliver solutions across clinical service lines.

You will coordinate development, implementation, testing and training, while interfacing with users, vendors and IT peers. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in IT or clinical environments, strong project management, and the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• Typically requires 5 years in IT or clinical environment with process mapping and requirements.
• Proficient in EPIC and other applications, OS and databases.
• Strong project management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate with health care staff, vendors and users.
• Must be able to sit up to 80% of workday and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between business and IT to provide technical solutions.
• Evaluate vendor offerings and coordinate development and maintenance tasks.
• Analyze clinical operations to identify automation opportunities.
• Prepare project plans, timelines and budgets; manage multiple projects.
• Coordinate system development, implementation, testing and documentation.
• Communicate progress and train users as required.
