Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System seeks an Epic professional to provide product function, design, build, and testing expertise for assigned Epic clinical modules. The role collaborates with end users to implement the Epic system efficiently and leads multiple projects from inception to delivery.

The candidate should hold Clinical Epic certifications in two modules and bring 4–7 years of healthcare IT implementation experience, with strong change management and governance skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or related major; or 4 years IT experience.
• Clinical Epic certifications in 2 modules.
• 4–7 years of experience with implementations for large organizations.
• 4–7 years of experience in change management processes for IT projects.
• 5 years of direct experience in healthcare information systems development, implementation, and supporting clinical application systems.

Responsibilities

• Leads multiple Epic projects from inception to delivery.
• Sets processes and influences technology frameworks.
• Helps governance, data definitions, data policies and data quality.
• Provides Epic product function, design, build, and testing expertise for assigned Epic module related to Clinical applications.
• Collaborates with end users to design and build the Epic system in a timely, professional manner and make corrective configuration or enhancements.
• Leads small to medium complexity Epic software upgrade initiatives or enhancements to workflows including the design, build, and test phases.
• Participates in design and validation sessions and ensure appropriate documentation, follow-up and issue escalation occurs
• Provides technical and/or clinical consultation including application configuration.
