Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System is seeking an Epic Project Manager to provide product function, design, build, and testing expertise for Epic Clinical modules. The role involves collaborating with end users to design and implement the Epic system efficiently and guiding multiple projects from inception to delivery.

The ideal candidate will possess Clinical Epic certifications in two modules and extensive experience in large-scale healthcare IT implementations and change management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems or related field.
• Clinical Epic certifications in 2 modules.
• 4-7 years of experience with implementations for large organizations.
• 4-7 years of experience in change management processes for IT projects.
• 5 years of direct experience in healthcare information systems development, implementation, and supporting clinical application systems.

Responsibilities

• Leads multiple Epic projects from inception to delivery.
• Sets processes and influences technology frameworks.
• Helps governance, data definitions, data policies and data quality.
• Provides Epic product function, design, build, and testing expertise for assigned Epic module related to Clinical applications.
• Collaborates with end users to design and build the Epic system in a timely and professional manner and make corrective configuration or enhancements.
• Leads small to medium complexity Epic software upgrade initiatives or enhancements to workflows including the design, build, and test phases.
• Participates in design and validation sessions and ensure appropriate documentation, follow-up and issue escalation occurs
• Provides technical and/or clinical consultation including application configuration. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates system needs to develop recommendations for customers.
• Develops, supports, and maintains all required system design and build documents and other system documentation.
• Performs in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with Epic software.
