Job summary

Leidos Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale electric utility projects across the United States. The role sits within the PMO of Power Delivery Solutions, collaborating with engineers and program managers to deliver EPC-style projects for transmission, substation, and distribution infrastructure.

You will manage a team of project managers, oversee cost/schedule/scope, drive process improvements, and mentor staff while engaging with clients and partners

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive Project Management experience in electric power/electric utility.
• Experience with EPC contracts (engineering, procurement, construction).
• Proficiency with project financials, bids, and cost estimates.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage portfolio risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale utility transmission, substation and related projects.
• Direct a team of project managers delivering engineering design projects.
• Own portfolio performance: cost, schedule, scope management.
• Drive PMO process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Serve as Capture Manager for large business opportunities and proposals.
• Mentor and develop PM staff; foster collaboration and learning.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders to address issues and report progress.
• Manage monthly client invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable processes.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities to grow the organization.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and quality standards.
