SEGI is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to be the technical lead across engineering, procurement and construction interfaces on the Kirkuk EPC project. The role spans from mid-design to issued-for-construction and as-built status, coordinating procurement and EXIM-compliant delivery, with remote support from the US.

The Kirkuk project involves converting a simple cycle plant to a combined cycle in Iraq, financed by EXIM.

Competenze

• EPC experience is mandatory: at least one full EPC project cycle on the contractor side, covering engineering, procurement and construction.
• 10+ years' experience in power generation or heavy industrial projects (7+ years considered for Project Engineer level).
• Direct involvement in detailed design delivery, including managing engineering subcontractors or OEMs.
• Hands-on procurement experience (specifications, bid evaluations, vendor document review, expediting) and site support experience (RFIs, field changes, commissioning) on a major plant.
• Combined cycle, HRSG, steam turbine or gas turbine plant experience, especially brownfield conversions, strongly preferred.
• Experience with EXIM or other ECA-financed projects, and Middle East / Iraq experience with government utility clients, preferred.
• Integration across EPC: sees how a design decision affects procurement, logistics and site work, and acts before it becomes a problem.
• Remote leadership: drives subcontractors, vendors and a site team across time zones without daily face-to-face contact.
• Commercial awareness: understands scope, change and claims, and documents the technical basis clearly.
• Working knowledge of ASME, IEC, IEEE and API codes, and FIDIC-style contract administration.
• MS Project or Primavera P6, document control systems and 3D model review tools.
• Concise technical writing for clients, lenders and senior management; eligible to work in the United States.

Mansioni

• Manage the engineering subconsultant's scope, man-hour budget, schedule and deliverable register; track progress against planned issue dates.
• Set and enforce the design basis, project specifications, codes and standards, and owner (MoE) requirements.
• Chair weekly engineering progress meetings and multi-discipline coordination meetings.
• Integrate OEM engineering (HRSG, steam turbine, generator and major packages) into the subconsultant's design, and close out vendor holds on drawings.
• Run formal design reviews at 30/60/90% and IFC, and track every comment to closure.
• Lead HAZOP, SIL, constructability and operability reviews, and close out actions.
