Job summary

Redwood Materials in Reno, NV is seeking a Lead Project Controls Specialist to own the integrated cost and schedule baseline for EPC capital projects. You will develop KPIs, manage earned value, and guide cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and change management across engineering, procurement, and construction, mentoring schedulers and interfacing with EPC contractors and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 8+ years of project controls experience on large capital projects.
• Hands-on EVM, cost control, budgeting, and forecasting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project controls function across cost, schedule, estimating, and change management.
• Develop and maintain WBS, CBS, and OBS alignment with cost codes and ERP.
• Maintain KPI set (CPI, SPI, EAC/ETC) and track performance.
• Own earned value management, control accounts, and progress measurement rules.
• Govern WBS/coding structures and insure alignment with ERP reporting.
• Manage budget development, accruals, cash flow, and forecasts at program level.
• Produce weekly/monthly performance reports and dashboards for leadership.
• Conduct risk analysis and contingency tracking; support change orders and close-out.
