Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Buyer & Expeditor for Mechanical, Architectural, Structural, Piping, E&I, Telecom, and Bulk categories with 7-12 years of experience in offshore, wind, or onshore projects. This role demands strong procurement exposure for EPC projects and hands-on involvement in pre-bid support, vendor engagement, and supplier negotiations.

The incumbent will manage RFQs, bid comparisons, TQs, and CBA preparation, while ensuring compliance with terms, Incoterms, and payment

Qualifications

• Exposure of handling procurement for EPC Projects.
• Technical knowledge of respective domain required.
• Experience with pre-bid support, estimation data, and vendor engagement.

Responsibilities

• Float RFQ, arrange offers, coordinate with supporting team to close out TQs, prepare CBA and negotiate.
• Shall have knowledge of Terms and Conditions, Incoterms, Taxation, payment terms, BG, LC; ensure PO deliverables and post-order activities.
• Develop Vendor expediting plan for critical/non-critical items and coordinate with vendor-PMT-ENGG-QA for document approvals.
• Expediting reports and progress reports with vendors; inspect QA/ITP documents and stage inspections if applicable.
• Coordinate with logistics for freight forwarder nomination and dispatch after QA review; review shipping documents per PO.

Education

Diploma / BE / BTech / Post-Graduate / Equivalent
