Job summary

Leonardo DRS in Cypress, CA is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple EO/IR space sensing programs. You will drive integrated master schedules, manage risks and budgets, and interface with customers and internal stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (Engineering, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field).
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant program-management or technical leadership experience.
• Experience leading development programs from proposal/startup through design, integration, test, delivery, and sustainment.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, test, finance, and contracts.
• Familiarity with aerospace/defense program execution, including export-control and government regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily execution of technology-development EO/IR sensor and flight-hardware programs in accordance with contractual, technical, cost, schedule, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Establish and maintain the integrated product team structure from kickoff through closeout; align engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, test, finance, and contracts.
• Develop and maintain integrated master schedules and program plans; ensure milestones are linked, resourced, and managed.
• Lead technical and programmatic integration across system, subsystem, payload, optical, sensor, electronics, mechanical, software, manufacturing, and test functions.
• Establish and manage program baselines for scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and technical performance; control changes via PM/engineering/configuration-management processes.
• Allocate and control contract budgets; monitor financial performance and provide timely program status to senior management.
• Perform schedule and cost variance analysis, including EVMS reporting where applicable; develop corrective-action and recovery plans.
• Identify, assess, document, monitor, and mitigate program risks and opportunities; escalate issues to senior management.
• Lead program reviews (internal/external) and coordinate customer communications; ensure action items are documented and closed.
• Collaborate with Contracts on requirements, modifications, deliverables, and supplier communications; support negotiations while ensuring compliance.
