Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking an Complex Environmental Manager to oversee daily operations of Environmental, Wastewater Treatment, Offal Facility and Water Plant. You will train and supervise staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain documentation with EPA and state agencies.

You will also manage permits, reporting, and safety programs while coordinating with engineers on design, budgeting and startup. The role requires a minimum of 5 years directly related experience, a Bachelor’s degree in

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of directly related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or similar field preferred.
• Class III Waste Water License or ability to obtain within twelve months.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, wastewater treatment and air permitting.
• Excellent communication skills and computer literacy (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Manage Environmental, Wastewater, Offal Facility and Water Plant operations.
• Train and supervise staff; maintain facility, housekeeping and safety.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and document control with EPA and local agencies.
• Collect, submit and maintain water samples; report to regulators as required.
• Maintain permits, communicate with regulators, and oversee project design/startup.
• Provide environmental training and oversee incident response and reporting.
• Prepare reports for management and stay current on regulations and technology.
• Supervise equipment maintenance and coordination with engineering teams.
• Ensure confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
