Job summary

Travelers Environmental group provides environmental liability coverage tailored to the needs of manufacturers, laboratories, colleges, and contractors. As an Account Executive Officer, Environment you will partner with agents and brokers to provide coverage for new and renewal business and independently assess complex risk to drive profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience in environmental liability.
• Deep knowledge of environmental liability products, the regulatory environment, and the local insurance market.
• CPCU designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet regularly with agents and brokers to market and sell Travelers products and write/retain accounts within risk appetite. Travel required.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with MD to create regional sales plans.
• May assist in training less experienced Account Executives.
