Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Round Rock is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead design, development, and execution of environmental qualification tests for sensors and related items in a demanding nuclear/aerospace context.

You will design test plans, perform rigorous environmental stress testing, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with R&D and QA to improve product robustness for harsh environments.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 6+ years in environmental/seismic/EMC testing and qualification of electronic/electro-mechanical devices.
• Deep knowledge of IEEE 323/344 and RTCA/DO-160 or MIL-STD-810 environmental test standards.
• Proven success designing and executing test strategies for complex systems.
• Troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical hardware and measurement loops.
• Proficiency in test planning, documentation, and reporting to regulatory standards.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Design V&V and EQ test plans for sensors and related items.
• Execute environmental stress tests including thermal aging, seismic/vibration, humidity, and chemical spray.
• Evaluate measurement parameters for accuracy, linearity, hysteresis, and response time.
• Analyze data, identify anomalies, and lead root-cause investigations.
• Author traceable QTRs and compliance documents per nuclear/aerospace standards.
