About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Test & Qualification Engineer (Environmental) to lead qualification and verification testing for an advanced aerospace vehicle operating in extreme environments.

This is a highly technical leadership role responsible for designing robust test programs, managing environmental qualification campaigns, and ensuring systems meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Own qualification-level environmental testing across thermal, altitude, vibration, humidity, and related domains
• Develop verification plans, procedures, margins, and acceptance criteria
• Lead test readiness reviews (TRRs), execution, anomaly resolution, and reporting
• Partner cross-functionally with avionics, structures, systems engineering, and operations teams
• Drive continuous improvement of test infrastructure, equipment, and vendor relationships
• Ensure compliance with industry standards such as MIL-STD-810 and internal quality expectations
• Present results and recommendations to engineering and program leadership

Required Qualifications

• BS in Aerospace, Mechanical, Test Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of environmental or qualification testing experience in aerospace or complex hardware systems
• Proven campaign ownership from planning through final reporting
• Strong technical communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Stratospheric, space, UAV, or high-altitude system testing experience
• Startup or rapid-development aerospace program background
• Familiarity with regulatory or certification testing requirements
