Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking an experienced environmental test engineer to support Ford’s Sunrise development team and electronics validation in Florida. The role centers on thermal chamber testing, with rain chambers and vibration tables as needed, and producing test-completion reports in Excel and Minitab.

You will set up and run tests, collect data, apply DFMEA/PFMEA/RCCA concepts, and coordinate with the environmental test supervisor and colleagues. Prior PCB handling experience is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant environmental test engineering experience.
• Hands-on testing experience with thermal chambers; rain chambers and vibration tables exposure.
• Electronics/hardware validation background with safe handling of PCB assemblies.
• Ability to collect data, perform basic analysis, and report using Excel and Minitab.
• Working understanding of DFMEA, PFMEA, and RCCA concepts.
• Ability to execute laboratory test procedures and collaborate with an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Set up, run, and monitor environmental tests on electronic modules, focusing on thermal chambers.
• Support rain-chamber and vibration-table tests and related validation procedures.
• Collect data, document results, and prepare test-completion reports using Excel and Minitab.
• Handle PCB assemblies safely and perform post-test visual checks.
• Apply DFMEA, PFMEA, and RCCA concepts when supporting investigations.
• Coordinate with the supervisor, other test engineers, and the test systems team.
