Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Technician to support remediation projects across Fort Collins and nearby areas. The role involves on-site supervision of field activities, coordination with subcontractors, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance at active sites within an hour or two of Fort Collins, Denver, and Greeley.

The successful candidate will have a HS diploma with 6+ years in environmental remediation, strong hands-on leadership of heavy equipment, and experience with groundwater

Qualifications

• HS Diploma and 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• US citizenship required; sponsorship for this role will not be available.
• Must pass drug screening, background check, motor vehicle records check and medical surveillance.
• Preferred: 10 years of remediation or site supervision experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Experience working with complex multi-stakeholder field sites.
• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification.
• Strong understanding of field safety, heavy construction techniques and environmental controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations for remediation, demolition, excavation, cap placement, trenching, and site restoration.
• Supervise union and non-union equipment operators, laborers, teamsters, drillers, and subcontractors on active project sites.
• Coordinate work sequencing, equipment use, contractor activities, and daily production goals to maintain schedule and quality.
• Drive adherence to work plans, construction specifications and environmental controls.
• Oversee system operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance and performance optimization.
