Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Technician to support remediation projects across Fort Collins, CO and surrounding areas. The role emphasizes field supervision, heavy equipment coordination, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations on active sites within a structured workforce.

The candidate should have a HS Diploma and 6+ years of relevant experience, US citizenship, and the ability to pass drug and background checks.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma and 6+ years of relevant experience.
• US citizenship is required; sponsorship will not be available.
• Pass required drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle records check and medical surveillance.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations for remediation, demolition, excavation, cap placement, trenching, and site restoration.
• Supervise union and non-union equipment operators, laborers, teamsters, drillers, and subcontractors on active project sites.
• Coordinate work sequencing, equipment use, contractor activities, and daily production goals to maintain schedule and quality.
• Drive strict adherence to work plans, construction specifications, and environmental controls.
• Oversee system operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance optimization.
• Direct groundwater sampling programs and support regulatory activities.
• Maintain daily logs and safety records; assist in progress and closure reports.
• Coordinate with regulatory inspectors and client representatives during field activities.
