Job summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Sr. Environmental Scientist to join our Environmental Remediation group in Denver, CO.

You will work on environmental site assessments, remedial and solid waste design, and multi-disciplinary projects, with opportunities for field and office responsibilities and significant travel. The role requires strong communication, regulatory awareness, and the ability to work under supervision within a team of engineers and scientists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in environmental sciences or engineering or related fields; eight years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Pre-employment background check required
• Pre-employment drug screening required
• US Citizenship or permanent residence required due to site locations

Responsibilities

• Performs standard scientific work applying techniques and procedures.
• Detects problems when using standardized procedures and equipment.
• Conducts specific project phases under supervision of more experienced scientists.
• Proposes analytical methods and provides consulting within scope of knowledge.
• Draws conclusions and makes recommendations based on analysis.
• Interprets and records data ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Travels regionally day trips; flexible with extended hours and locations; travel may exceed 50%.
• Supports environmental site assessments, remedial and solid waste design and construction, and multi-disciplinary projects.
