Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Project Environmental Scientist/Geoscientist to support our Resilience Environment team in the U.S. The role specializes in soil and groundwater contaminant characterization and remediation with statistical tools.

The candidate will lead statistical analyses for soil, groundwater, sediment, and surface water investigations, interpreting results in regulatory contexts and communicating findings to multidisciplinary teams. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Statistics/Mathematics or Environmental Science with strong emphasis on statistics.
• Comparative statistics work experience.
• 5+ years of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Review conceptual site models, regulatory requirements, and environmental datasets to develop statistically defensible strategies for site characterization, remediation, and monitoring programs.
• Plan and execute statistical analyses for soil, groundwater, sediment, and surface water investigations, ensuring methods are appropriate for objectives and data.
• Interpret analytical and statistical results in the context of site-specific conditions and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare technical memoranda, monitoring reports, regulatory submittals, and other project deliverables that clearly communicate methods, findings, and conclusions.
• Present statistical approaches, results, and recommendations to project teams and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical responses to client and regulator questions and support resolution of data-related challenges.
• Serve as a focused practitioner in environmental statistics, guiding multidisciplinary teams.
• Travel up to 20% based on project needs.
