Job summary

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids seeks a Senior Environmental Service Technician to clean and disinfect patient areas, remove linens and waste, and maintain floors and upholstery. You will train teammates on procedures and uphold quality and safety standards.

You may work across department sites as needed, with leadership responsibilities and collaboration to ensure continuous service and a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 6 months of health-care cleaning or janitorial experience.
• Preferred CRT-Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) certification.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and stock patient rooms, offices and ancillary areas per procedures.
• Remove and dispose of linens and waste streams.
• Perform interim and restorative maintenance on floors, carpets, and upholstery.
• Train and instruct Environmental Services staff on procedures and standards.
• Assign, inspect, and QA staff work; coordinate with other teams for continuity.
• Lead the team during uplines absence and cover as needed.
