Job summary

Terracon seeks a senior environmental scientist to conduct investigations, assessments and surveys of air, water, soil and materials. You will lead project teams, supervise field activities and develop technical proposals for varied sites in North Carolina.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field and 7+ years of experience, with master’s or PhD preferred. A valid driver’s license may be required; certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field with 7+ years’ related experience.
• Alternative: 11+ years’ related experience without a degree.
• Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
• Certification in field of expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate field teams to sample, test and collect data for environmental projects.
• Develop written proposals and perform quality control reviews of others' proposals.
• Evaluate complex laboratory and field data and summarize in reports.
