Job summary

Terracon is seeking a seasoned engineering professional to lead and perform field investigations, analyses, and development of plans and specifications. You will review drawings for compliance, prepare proposals and cost estimates, and communicate findings to clients and project teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering with 5–8 years of experience; a master's degree is preferred. A valid driver’s license may be required as field work and site visits are common.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5-8 years’ experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable history may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and report safety issues to management.
• Provide and lead continuous quality monitoring on projects.
• Promote quality standards on project and proposal delivery.
• Manage detailed phases of projects with moderate size and complexity.
• Independently perform varied projects or segments of larger projects.
• Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of work.
• Work closely with senior project managers for more complex projects.
• Make design, engineering, and construction recommendations and modifications.
• Prepare proposals and reports for projects of varying complexity.
• Perform quality control review of proposals.
• Evaluate laboratory and field data for reports.
• Serve as a technical adviser to junior staff.
• Interact with client and project team on scope, progress and findings.
• Write and prepare routine and complex engineering reports detailing services and findings.
• Participate in marketing, sales and business development.
• Supervise graduate, field and project engineering staff.
• Work under supervision of a Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer.
• Begin mentoring and AP/Reviewer certification process.
