Job summary
WSP is seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist to support planning, permitting, and execution of linear infrastructure projects across New Jersey and the Mid-Atlantic region. This role focuses on environmental permitting, natural resource evaluations, regulatory coordination, and compliance for electrical, pipelines, transportation, and renewable energy projects.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field required.
- 5-7 years of environmental consulting, permitting, or regulatory experience.
- Experience supporting environmental permitting for linear infrastructure projects.
- Working knowledge of NJDEP Wetlands, Flood Hazard Act rules, and related environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support preparation of environmental permit applications with agencies (NJDEP, USACE, USFWS).
- Develop permitting strategies to support project schedules.
- Coordinate and track permit approvals and regulatory commitments.
- Conduct wetland delineations, habitat assessments, and ecological surveys.
- Prepare environmental impact analyses, permit exhibits, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate field investigations and manage subcontractors.
